A grieving father was left devastated after his 16-year-old niece allegedly destroyed a wedding dress that had been secretly created by his late wife for their daughter. The dress had taken nearly 500 hours of hand-stitching and reportedly involved around $12,000 worth of materials, making it far more valuable to the family than an ordinary piece of clothing.
According to the fictional story, the mother had been determined to create her daughter’s dream wedding dress before she passed away. She completed approximately 80% of the work herself before her health failed, and the girl’s aunt, Amy, later finished the remaining 20% as a tribute. When the daughter eventually saw the completed dress, she reportedly broke down in tears because she knew it represented her mother’s final gift and the love that had gone into making it.
The situation changed when the father’s 16-year-old niece asked if she could try the dress on.
