I pointed at the car’s tag and chuckled out loud.
“Bet you didn’t get what that mark means — that’s a commercial vehicle registered to our LLC. You had it towed without a court order.”

Her smirk faded instantly.
“So?” she asked, suddenly unsure.

“So… that’s a federal offense. You can’t legally tow a registered business vehicle off private property without going through the proper legal process.”

She blinked.
“Wait… what are you saying?”

I smiled.
“I’m saying the towing company broke the law because of your complaint — and now our attorney is filing a claim. Damages, lost business, wrongful tow… You’re liable. That little grudge? It just cost you $25,000.”

She stood there, mouth open, no words coming out.

We walked back inside. And guess what?

Her car hasn’t moved in days.
